I have an MFA Degree in Illustration from Cal State Fullerton. I am also a digital illustration instructor at CSUF. I have been teaching there for almost 9 years now. I am also a computer graphics instructor at Santa Ana College, Orange Coast College and East LA College. (all of these are in southern California, of course) I am also a freelance illustrator and I am looking for gallery representation for my Limited-Edition Fine Art Giclee Prints of my Vector Art Motorcycle Portraits.

Conversation With SethTeeters

Hey Chris... I am a current design student in Orlando. I found out about you in the Illustrator WOW book and was inspired by your work. After seeing your motorcycle that had been pentooled and divided, I spent the following days putting 40 hrs of work into my first photorealistc illustration of a blackberry. I have loved illustrator ever since.

Your work is truly amazing... Keep it up!

Hey Chris! I don't know if you remember me at all but I took your class at OCC for half a semester (barely). I ended up getting a job offer and leaving, but I really enjoyed your class anyway!

UPDATE!!! I just got 3 pages in the NEW Illustrator CS3 WOW! Book! My work is showcased on, I believe, pages 360 and 361 (I am pretty sure those are the pages... I don't have the book with me right now, but they are somewhere around those pages.) AND my work is on page 373! You can also find my contact information on the Artists Page in the back of the book! - Chris.

Hey Chris.
You know, for some reason i knew that you knew about this site. It's nice to see your work again. It's amazing how much attention it gets. I feel honored to be a student of your's. I only have that "self portrait" project to offer. The one I made for one of your class projects.(Orange Coast College). I'm doing a web page design class right now. So, I'll be spending some serious time with Illustrator in the next few weeks.

Alright, Keep the art coming.

Jorge, Really great to talk with you again! I did see your self-portrait in the gallery the other day, so I knew you were also still around. Hey, one of my students at OCC was the Selected Winner in the Illustration Category in the CA Media Arts Awards this year... same category you were in, but they chose her to be the grand-prize winner this year. That's 2 years in a row for my illustration students to be selected finalists! Good stuff. Keep in touch man! - Chris.

Conversation With vectorprofessor

Hi fellow Titan. I got a BA in '81, a MA in '86, and an MFA in '03 from CSUF, all in Graphic Design. I also did the "freeway flyer" teaching gigs while running a freelance business. Moved to Florida 3 years ago to teach full-time at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Is Larry Johnson still around? I don't know if he will remember me or not, I took a History of Illustration class with him several years ago. If you run into him, Jerry Samuelson, or John Drew tell them Dave Pounds said "Hi".

Love your work. Your subject matter looks like more detail work than I would have the patience for, but the results are outstanding.
