As some of you may have noticed, Illustratorworld.com went down for about two weeks. The problem was that our hard drive crashed, and the backup we had, ended about three months ago. So the last full site backup we had was from August. To make matters worse, the folks who host IW couldn't back up from the August .tar file.

Thanks to John Q who maintains our server, we were able to revive the hard drive and transfer the data to a new drive. Needless to say, we are looking at offsite backup solutions again.

FUNDRAISING
So I figure now is a good time to do a little gentle fund raising. We have a group of members who support the site by contributing $6.00 per month. They are our gold members. $6.00 a month isn't much, but every penny counts - and I would like to take this time to thank then for their monetary support!

As you may or may not know, I fund IW myself. So if you know my situation (at home), you know that I appreciate all the help I can get from members.

Gold member sponsorship is $6.00. Silver membership sponsors contribute $3.00 a month. We want to thank our current Gold and Silver members, and thank the rest of you in advance, for your support.
