It is possible that Valley's Xtream Path plug-in could be made to work in Fireworks? I have spoken with the folks who make Extreme Path about this and it seems to be a (future) possibility. But I got to wondering if the existing plug-in could already work in Fw. But where would you load it? I tried with no joy in Fw plug-ins folder and the required folder. At least it did not make Fw unstable having it there but I could not find anywhere to check to see if (any of) the tools were loaded in the program.

I have loaded other Adobe Exchange software into Fw (there is a really neat 3D rotate plug-in at the Exchange) and it usually launches the Adobe manager from which you install such goodies. Can you locate and ask the Manager to try and load other software/plug-ins?

But to my main question. Can any extant Illustrator plug-ins work in Fw?

After writing and posting this I noticed that the main plug-ins in the Fw Required (not the Plug-in) folder are in-fact Illustrator plug-ins to start with - so maybe some other plug-ins for Illustrator can be made to function in Fireworks. There is a lot of interplay between PS, Illu and Fw and the three provide a very powerful combo.

Further update: Valley have responded to say Extream Path is not compatible with Fireworks (at least at this time). Maybe they can come up with something in the future.
