Description I did this as the basis for a tutorial I wrote for my intermediate Illustrator students. It is a little simpler than what I usually do so they would not get overwhelmed. I provide them with a template of the various parts, lips, eyes, etc., each a different locked layer, then give them step by step instructions on how to use the pen tool to reproduce the work you see here. They already learned the basics of the pen tool in my beginners class. With this knowledge of how I work and create shape and blends I hope they will be able to move on and develop a style of their own
