I am a fine art artist and I do a lot of graphic work for a living. I worked at agencies for years, but health issues have made me a part time freelancer. I started with computer graphics in 1991 on a crummy IBM 386 using CorelDraw 1.1. By 1994 I was using a PPC 6100 and Ai 5. I still do a lot of initial work as drawings and paintings that I bring into the computer to complete.

If you are young enough to have not used these older computers you would not believe how painfully slow it was to do art as complex as this. A save was over 7 min; And we had to walk to school in the snow with bare feet;>)
