Description
For the hair, I drew about twenty hairs with various colors and group them, set as an art brush with hue option so I can change each lock of hair in various colors. Then layer them to hilite with adjusting opacity. Any better techniques please advice. Thanks for viewing.

Great work. The hair is amazing. I like how you have the reflection from the light on there.

Thank you, I have one layer on top of it. Its a blend of two objects with white fill and the outer object is clear. Lessen the opacity with Soft Light blend mode. Thanks again..

this is just my opinion, but I think this needs more work.

Hope I didn't offend

cheers Itai

Ow this is plenty of work for my level. If you mean the surrounding elements like neck and clothings need more work, I tried to make it 'economy' for rendition or one would find it indifference from photography. Or if you meant the whole thing needs more work, then I apologize. ha ha ha Never offended, ltai, you are my favorite artist.

The warm, soft and realistic skin, the face the eyes and the lips are framed by hair and clothing which contrast in their somewhat rough, unfinished vectory look....I always feel that this contrast adds a very interesting, very strong look to a piece like this. I don't want to see anything changed or worked on to the surrounding elements....To me, the unfinished, simple look to those border elements are what make your image look edgy and cool! Nice work!
24 February 2009 - 15:32: Anat Moolmuang (anat) replied...
Yes I intended to create the focal area and then the simpler, nonfocal, dumb down areas to keep viewers at the main focus. Okay, I couldnt say it better than yours, Thank you much AIRLOCK!

...totally awesome. how many sets of hair brushes did you create?
4 April 2009 - 14:57: Anat Moolmuang (anat) replied...
Thank you for asking, I set 4 of them and found out that the earlier sets were too large, so I ended up using the last two smaller sets of artbrushes which contains about 20 hairs with the colorization method setting at tints and shades so I can select and adjust the colors individually later. I set the sets of hairs in many group layers, with pigtails seperately. I started with the darkest colors at the bottom. I also use stroke sizes for varieties, and also the transparency, opacity which sometimes see through. I also added the shadow of the hairs on the face, with very light opacity (mulltiply, 50%) and gaussian blur filter (1.3 px) to make the hairs little floating. I hope this is somehow useful to you, thanks for asking.

Anat!, can you draw my potrait?
10 February 2010 - 14:39: Anat Moolmuang (anat) replied...
No, .. well that was one short answer, but the thing is that I have not seen the materials yet and so I cannot say bring'em on. I have no such skills to execute all challenges, and one good portrait with mesh tools takes me at least five days full time. I will always have to make best pick to find worthy one to work on. Sorry for decline, but thank you for offering.
