Description
I dreamed her up and started right to work on her from a bizarre combination of reference photos (a woman's face, a woman dancing and a close-up of a startled rock crab. She took more hours than any other I've done so far - about 10 altogether. I used a lot of mesh foundation here to produce the shiny effect of her brass armour....and a lot of vector detailing everywhere else.

Thank you very much! As a matter of fact, I was thinking of maybe a girl who's a hybrid zamboni or one with a huge iphone built into her torso...lol

hmmm, interesting. how about a flying girl? a cross between a stacked blond and a B-29. now that would be a challenge. ;-)

Craig,
These Hybrids of yours are fantastic! The creativity and skills to pull it off are superb. Love the textures and the Jules Verne/Steampunk style. (If you are unfamiliar with steampunk style art, try a Google search. You maty get some great inspiration from what they do.)

Hey, thank you there, Dirk! I'll check that out.

Great picture Craig! She looks like a character from one of those old Sinbad the Sailor or Clash of the Titans films.

Nice work Craig! Definately liking the Steampunk feel in this series. You should work up a comic and have them all kill each other brutally.

Interesting! I had never heard of "Steampunk" until I got feedback here! -- I saw the anime, "Steam Boy", which had this type of style... so I do "get" this concept, but this stuff of mine was only inspired by a bunch of visuals I gravitate towards...not anything specific. --- Anyway Randy, Thank you! --- and as far as a comic with a brutal demise for these damsels?... Just let Magneto have at them! lol

Ohhh, but you know Magneto would keep a few pretties for himself, if only to watch them destroy the others.
