Description
Obviously inspired by the television series on the SF Channel. I attempted as photographic a look as possible, by taking an ordinary photo reference and transforming it into this completely imagined image with all the extra stuff. The face is actually a fictional one I made up...no lie! Everything else is made up too. Done just for fun, in Illustrator CS - Lots and lots of gradient mesh and transparencies and filters used...Took me about ten hours to do.

I really like the depth of field you have added to create realism. It mixes very well with the sharp lines and focus of the vector elements.

thank you, actually, I think for the sake of photorealism in vector, a little bit of fuzziness added to some of the sharp edges can go a long way.
