BSG Pegasus Currency
Description Another piece of fanart I did while threshing our some currency ideas.
I think I discovered a way to do guilloche patterns in Illustrator without having to resort to the SecuriDesign plugin for CorelDraw. The plugin is easier but I wanted to try to get the same effect with Illustrator. I might write a tutorial on it when I get the time. This piece doesn't show the complex guilloche patterns that I've been able to create. Basically I start with 3 blends and the zig-zag effect set to different frequencies and sizes on each path. Then I add/duplicate strokes in the appearance pallet and then play with offsets and different colors and frequencies. It produces amazing results and is fully editable.
