Toxic Elegance
Description Contest entry for Deviant Art. this took 1st place in a contest on dA. The object was to use one color only for a vector or vexel design. I used 22 shades of blue for this one.

Nice job and congrats on the big win! Very clean line work and lots of great detail. How you were able to come up with 22 different shades of blue must have been quite a task. The PMS book doesn't even have that many. Awesome!

I created a range of blues from light to dark first, then added a few here and there when I need a blue in between the ones I had, I ended up with over 30, then trimmed them down to 22.

AWESOME!!! I'm a pretty good illustrator with pen/pencil and sketch pad. Having said that, I've never used the tablet. You're a pro, so is that something you recommend? You're work is inspiring! Keep posting please!

I use the mouse myself, but I don't knock the benefits from a stylus and tablet. Graphic artists and designers seem to pick sides on this issue just like PC vs. Mac!
