Description Quite a creative musician. Google him if you get the chance.
All the grunt work was done in Illustrator, with some subtle textures and color tweaking brought in after the main artwork was completed. Used for cover art of "The Weekly Dig" here in Boston a couple of months ago.

Joe,
Awesome! I really dig your art, bro. It always stands out in the crowd. The colors and texture effects are great. Your work is wonderful to look at and explore all the nice touches that set it apart.

Do you add your textures layer by layer or afterwards? Or do you mask and use big wet brushes? I particularly like the helmet above the visor.

I place them and mask them into certain areas and use transparency. And those sparkles I did by using a pattern brush... I just drew a bunch of random specks with the pencil tool and dropped it in the symbols palette and used the pattern spray.

This is a great illustration piece. The colors pop and the details are amazing. Plus being a Bob Log III fan, it was nice to see him honored with a great illustration.
