2 be clear- The full color rendering is not a photo. It is the completed vector file.

It is considered a vector if it is all lines, and Live trace does take awhile to use (as proven by your post of the line view) but there is no artistic interpretation of the image. It looks realistic but what is the reason if the photo already exists?

Reason is the challenge. Why illustrate something if you can take a photo? Why take a photo if you can see the real thing? IW website proves something can be interpreted many different ways (cars, people objects, etc). I choose a more literal interpretation for certain subjects such as this.
