Hampton Ishmael Logo
Description This is a logo for a Gentlemen's Clothing Consultant.
My client named his business after his great-grandfather. So he provided an image of his great-grandfather, and a book of Black photography from the 20's & 30s for me to use in the logo.
In the original 1930's image, Mr. Ishmael was facing right in order to hide the scar on his left cheek. He was also wearing a suit that was a little less flashy. I found a photo of a kid wearing a pinstripe suit in the book, and decided to merge the to into a vector likeness of Mr. Ishmael. I flipped the image to face left so that Mr. Ishmael's scar would now be visible.
The logo is meant to carry a bit of a rough edge, with good fashion etiquette. The company tagline is "A True Alternative"
