Ho Hum .. another Stunning Piece, Dirk. :D The perspective you put in always rocks. I'm assuming you work from source photos? Also, I can tell some of the type is computer generated, but do you also do some of the lettering by hand?

Source photos are a must to get the correct perspective and proper details. Some type is hand drawn, some is manipulated fonts, some is drawn with the pen tool in Illustrator if I can't match or find a suitable font. Each piece has it's own challenges.

Well I'd say you continue to meet those challenges and destroy them! Always exciting to see your new work. Thanks for sharing a bit of your technique. I'd love to see you one day post a tutorial on your technique, at least a rough overview to share how you approach your designs. Again, thanks!

I am working on a tutorial for IW, but it is taking awhile, as I am buried up to my neck in contract work. Summer is the busiest time of year for us. Hope to have it completed in the coming weeks.

By the way Dirk.... hit me up with an e-mail when you get a second. Todd F is so tied up with his stuff, you may be the sole writer of the silk screen course ; ) But I'm sure people won't mind getting some instruction from you! We're starting to input content into the system right now.

Nice job on this, I really like your backgrounds too. Reminds me of some of the CARtoons magazine art of the late 70's and 80's. It's nice to see that Trosley style look!
