Steven Caputo is a remarkable artistic talent. Although confined to a wheelchair as the result of a spinal cord injury, Steve combines his creativity with computer technology to develop a stunning, contemporary style. Using only a head controlled mouse with a "puff switch" on a headset, Steve manipulates illustration and painting software to create striking original images, integrating substance and form.
Steve's work is currently on display in galleries in Connecticut, in the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, New Jersey and in the New York State Capital Building in Albany. With his recent relocation, Steve is slowly building a reputation in South Florida.
In the Spring of 2006, he was a featured artist at the Mars Gallery of Hobe Sound during their ‘Spring in Paradise’ showing along with artists Dan Mackin and Suzanne Briley, both well established Treasure Coast talents.
