Soul Glo Man
Description I bought Coming to America the other day and it inspired me to do this illustration. I laughed the whole time I was drawing it, all I could hear was that raunchy saxophone playing the soul glo music. Just let your Souuuuuuuul Glo!.
Drawing on paper, scanned and livetraced the pencils, filled general areas of color and then with the pen tool blocked out the highlights and filled with various gradients.

This is a great piece! True lines and depth of shadow but without forcing photo realism like a lot of the work that pops up around here. That movie was hilarious btw, haven't seen it in years!

Thanks! I was afraid with the amount of detail I put in the torso it was going to come out looking live traced or something but it actually turned out looking very graphical.
