Description This is the sort of thing I do at work. Nothing fancy. For the most part, I don't get to draw gorgeous women or fast cars for my job. I get to draw diagrams and tools. Because this forms part of my professional life, I thought I'd upload this here. Once I fill my gallery with snazzier stuff, I'll probably ditch this. But that's for the future.
This is a hand-held oscilloscope. The brief on this called for a generic model, so, even though I used a photo reference, I was required to strip out anything that might identify the branding. This included the actual display, for which I substituted a generic sine wave. Photorealism was not required--nor really desired--for this.
This was drawn with Illustrator CS on a G5 Mac. It was entirely drawn with the pen-tool. No mesh. No blends. Several gradient fills.
