I am actually really into Adobe After Effects and Motion Graphic design. However I love all disciplines of the Graphic arts. I use Illustrator to create art and various elements for animaiton. I consider my skills intermediate in the traditional graphic arts sense but I hope that being apart of IW will expose me to that side of the graphics world.
The Northern Wave Team Board graphic
Description I do graphics for a skateshop called the Northern Wave. They wanted something that can be used as a standardized logo for their boards and gear so I decided to go with a shield/coat-of-arms design. I never really made flourishes before, so mine are kinda simple, which is fine because I prefer simplicity anyways. I first sketched this and then scanned and live-traced it. I also did a live trace on a pic of a fern to get the photocopy/organic look. Overall I like it but Im interested in any feedback. All criticism is welcome.
