vectorprofessor - David Pounds
West Palm Beach, Florida
I am a graphic design professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Before going into teaching full time two years ago I ran a freelance graphic design business for eighteen years in Southern California. I use Illustrator professionally for logo design. The work you see here is done for pleasure rather than profit.
Van Helsing
Van Helsing
Description
This piece was a technique experiment. Van Helsing and Anna a shape to shape blends, Dracula is mesh, and Frankenstein is Live Trace. The four characters are tied together with an archtectural device, which is rendered with a fill pattern to get a rough stone texture. The shadows and highlights are transparent overlays, set to "Multiply". Since I am more a graphic designer than an illustrator, the type treatment may be more involved than what usually appears in vector galleries like Illustratorworld.
