A little self-promotional illustration I did using Illustrator's mesh tool but in more of a stylized technique vs. realistic. I really enjoyed working on this one as I was able to put in more creativity than some of my other mesh work contains.

This is cool. I like the kill-Bill kind of scenario taking place at the back. The colours are great and shading is fantastic

Hey Paul- as I was saying... this is great to see. Gradient mesh that isn't based on photo work. As I mentioned, I'm going to try to do more of this type of stuff (some day). I think mesh will grow as a tool when people use it to express their own art style.

Hey Todd, thanks! Yeah I'm finding that I used the mesh tool more and more to solve all kinds of shading issues these days. I too am hoping to do more with it in the future beyond the typical photo reproduction stuff. I can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks again. P.S. Great to see the site back!
