I am a student/Professional working to get my degree in Graphic Design. I have worked for small companies creating websites, logos and advertising. I am currtently working at Mt. Last Ascension of the Sun Fish
Description Here is my 3rd entry for the Vector Ping Pong Tournament; "Last Ascension of the Sun Fish". In this round I had to use four shapes that could not be warped in anyway, instead they can have their colors and size changed. The first two shapes are in the top japanese character for "fish", do you see them? The next shape is the "4" shape and can be found as the main structural element in the gate. The last shape is the circle which is the sun in the background. I also added an old paper texture on top of my vector drawing and set it to multiply to create the aged woodblock print, it's my favorite part of the image. Thanks for taking a peek I hope you like it.

I really shouldn't post anything to 'sway' the judges. But since I'm not a judge and the judges do as the please anyway, I just make a quick comment: This is wonderful. The epitome of using creativity and illustrator skills to take arbitrary shapes and create art. bravo. NOTE: Please don't replace your other volleys. You have more image space now- so please make sure all your volley's are up on the contest page. thanks!

I have never used blending modes in Illustrator. I use them a lot in PS, and never thought about it in Illustrator.

Wow! That's nice! Great colors with the desaturated, aged feel.
